Review by Tasha Self (17.1.11):
"the white wall of the centre has been blasted with colour, passion and vibrancy from the new ‘Stuck On The Wall’ exhibit, which rightly boasts a huge range of artists all part of The Stuckists movement ... This wall can claim something for everyone, an eclectic mix of political messages, children’s paintings and art that makes you grin set right beside art that makes you gasp."

"Their alternative exhibition, An Antidote to the Ghastly Turner Prize, will feature 29 artists and offer visitors 'small squares of Blu-tack' at a cost of 10p a piece." Culture24 (4.10.10)

Elsa Dax, Ella Guru, Alexis Hunter, Jane Kelly, Annie Zamero

An ex-stripper, a French witch, a former merchant banker, a pioneer feminist
photographer, and a journalist sacked from the Daily Mail for her painting

Mythology, archetypal dreams worthy of intense penetration, sexual fantasy,
swamp-rock gigs, dungeons, gypsy boudoirs and political satire steeped in art history.
From the sodium lit night of Camden Town via the exploration of human relations with
pet animals to the close observation of nature, these themes form the recent work
of five women happily “stuck” with canvas and paint.

Yes, they still use traditional artistic techniques to get at the truth and make their pithy, painterly
observations of contemporary life, wilfully and defiantly flying the flag for narrative painting.
Known for their masked antics outside the Turner prize each year, these women would
like a chance to show their true faces here – and to let the paintings speak for themselves.

Across from Holloway Women’s prison, the converted church is a unique space in which to view these musings.

January 26: I'm doing Dark Observatory, my "Stuckist Performance Art" piece, which consists of nothing but myself sitting onstage painting, while talking about my general disdain for performance art! It's at the prestigious Bingham Theater in the Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Also Evansville, Indiana on February 10 and Perico Island, Florida, on April 10.

February 3: I'll be in Imagine 2007, a charity art exhibition and auction, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
